Certainly, but with immense merits, the three protective surahs are our allies in the life of every day. Indeed, these last ones of great importance are used to protect oneself and guard against all evil, like nouns. sas leniah
For these reasons, let us recite the three protective surahs.
What are the three protective surahs?
The three protective surahs are the last three surahs of the Quran. They are of capital importance and have the advantage of being short.
Therefore, they can be quickly recited with the help of Allah. Discover them now:
Surah Al Ikhlas:
“Say: He is Allah, the One and Only; Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him.” (Surah 112, Al-Ikhlas).
But also Surah Al Falaq:
“Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn; From the mischief of created things; From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads; From the mischief of those who practise secret arts; And from the mischief of the envious one as he practises envy.” (Surah 113, Al-Falaq).
And finally, Surah An Nas:
“Say: I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of Mankind; The King (or Ruler) of Mankind; The god (or judge) of Mankind; From the mischief of the Whisperer (of Evil), who withdraws (after his whisper), (The same) who whispers into the hearts of Mankind; Among Jinns and among men.” (Surah 114, An-Nas).
Some habits of the Prophet (peace be upon him) with the three protective surahs
The three protective surahs were habitually used by the Prophet (peace be upon him). For this purpose, here are two hadiths proving their importance:
Aisha – may Allah be pleased with her – reported: “When the Prophet (peace be upon him) fell ill, he recited Al-Mu’awwidhatain (the protective surahs, i.e. Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas) for himself and blew his breath over his body. When his illness was aggravated, I used to recite those two surahs and rub his hands over his body hoping for its blessings.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari)
According to Abdullah Ibn Khoubayb – may Allah be pleased with him:
“We were touched by fine rain and obscurity. Then we waited for the Prophet (peace be upon him) to make imam for us. We found him and he said: ‘Have you prayed?’ Then I said nothing. Then he said to me: ‘Say!’ But I said nothing. Then he said to me: ‘Say!’ But I said nothing. Then he said to me: ‘Say!’ I said: ‘What should I say?’ He said: ‘Say: He is Allah, the One and Only’ and the two protective surahs every morning and evening, this will suffice you.'” (Authenticated by Al-Albani)
The three protective surahs before sleeping
Furthermore, before sleeping, it is incumbent upon the Muslim to make the evocations and invocations reported on this occasion. And in these latter, the last three surahs of the Quran are included, as shown in the hadith for example:
Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, reported: “Every night, when the Prophet went to bed, he would join his palms, blow into them, recite Surah Al-Ikhlas (The Unity) and the two Surahs of Al-Falaq (The Daybreak) and An-Nas (Mankind), and then pass his hands over his body as much as possible, beginning with his head and face, and then his front parts and those behind.” (Bukhari, Muslim)
Another dua for seeking protection:
” In the name of Allah, in the company of Whose Name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, He is the Hearer, the Knower.” (Recite 3 times)
